If he succeeds in changing the face of Jammu and Kashmir, it will strengthen his political position. Sinha, also a BTech and MTech in Civil Engineering from BHU, is well-versed in political and social engineering. Modi and Shah will expect him to live up to these expectations. If that happens, Sinha will be back in the political battleground of Ghazipur, and there are many such examples in Indian politics. Appointed as the Governor of Punjab by Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, Arjun Singh returned to active politics and became the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and also served as a Minister at the Centre. But now Sinha will have to use all the political and administrative skills he has acquired over the past four decades.

Manoj Sinha last moment visit to Ghazipur has boosted the chances of BJP candidate

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited a temple in his home district of Ghazipur in eastern Uttar Pradesh during the Assembly elections in the BJP-ruled state.

Opposition parties then claimed that Sinha’s visit to his village was a “pseudo campaign” for BJP candidates in various seats in Ghazipur district. However, in the 2022 elections, the Saffron Party lost all seven seats in the constituency. The seat includes Ghazipur Sadar, Mohammadabad, and Zamania where BJP candidates were considered close to Sinha.

More than two years after he visited the temple in 2022, coinciding with national elections, Sinha is making another such visit to his homeland.

This year’s visit, coinciding with the Lok Sabha elections, is particularly significant as the BJP candidate for the Ghazipur Lok Sabha seat is Paras Nath Rai (former RSS activist and educationist), who played a key role in Sinha’s previous Lok Sabha fight.

Current visits are not limited to prayers at temples but include visits to their immediate family. He first visited Ghazipur between May 22 and 24 and will return on Sunday evening for a second visit to his constituency, which includes seven constituencies in Ghazipur and Ballia.

According to political observers in Ghazipur, Sinha’s trusted aide Rai is working hard to harass SP candidate and MP Afzal Ansari, while neighboring Ballia BJP candidate Neeraj Shekhar (two-time SP MP and younger son of former prime minister late Chandra Shekhar) is fighting a tough battle with SP candidate Sanatan Pandey.
