He received his schooling in Battersea, south-west London.
His first major breakthrough in the entertainment industry was when he hosted a children’s television show on CBBC for three years.

His BBC career began in 1989 when he replaced Philip Schofield and Andi Peters as presenters of the children’s program The Broom Cupboard.
Peters provided the voice acting for the British release of Toy Story 2. He not only hosted “Live and Kicking” from 1993 to 1996, but also hosted “The Noise” which aired in 1996.
Peters hosted the 2006 and 2008 seasons of the cooking competition series Sunday Feast. Since 2007 he has hosted The Big Reunion on ITV2 and is the presenter of the Dancing on Ice tour.
